Our technicians' trucks are outfitted as portable service centers which allows services such as recharges and six year exams to be performed at the customer's location. On-site service is a way we can provide quality work in a timely and professional manner.
Fredriksen Fire Equipment Co. also has a Will Call area where customer's can bring in extinguishers needing to be serviced.
Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishers
Dry chemical extinguishers are available in a variety of types and sizes. Theseare usually the best economical choice for compliance applications. The multi-purpose dry chemical models utilize a specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammoniumphosphate dry chemicalthat chemically insulates Class A fires by melting and coating the surface to which it is applied. It also smothers and breaks the chain reaction of Class B fires and is a non-conductor of electricity.

Carbon Dioxide fire extinguishers discharge a white cloud of "snow" which smothers a fire by eliminating its oxygen. It is effective for Class B flammable liquid fires and is electrically non-conductive. Carbon Dioxide is aclean, non-contaminating, and odorless gas safe for use on valuable equipment.
Halotron Fire Extinguishe

Halotron I is a "Clean Agent." HCFC is a rapidly evaporating liquid which leaves no residue. It effectively extinguishes Class A, and B fires by cooling and smothering the flame. It will not conduct electricity back to the operator. Halotron I is intended for use in areas formerly protected by Halon 1211 hand portable extinguishers. Examples include computer rooms, telecommunications facilities, clean rooms, data storage areas, aircraft, boats and vehicles.
Water, Water Mist & FFFP Foam Fire
Extinguishers
These water-based extinguishers are specially designed extinguishers for unique hazard applications. The Water Mist extinguisher is the right choice for hospital operating rooms. The FFFP Foam extinguisher adds Class B fire fighting capability to the Class A effectiveness of water.
Wet Chem Fire Extinguishers
Wet Chemical extinguishers are designed to extinguish fires in restaurant cooking appliances. They have been tested and approved for the new Class K listing by UL specifically for restaurant kitchen hazards. They contain a special potassium acetate based, low PH agent developed for use in restaurant kitchen systems. These extinguishers supplement existing automatic system protection for an extra margin of safety.
Class D Fire Extinguishers
Class D Extinguishers are special application dry powder extinguishers for Class D combustible metal fires. The unique "soft flow" extension applicator is particularly suited for fighting Class D fires.
Wheeled Fire Extinguishers
Amerex produces a variety of large capacity wheeled fire extinguishers available in dry chemical, carbon dioxide, FFFP foam and Class D models.
